Yesterday I participated in the NTEN Office Hours program by hosting a session in the Communication Track...which we all know these days means webby things. I was a bit nervous going into the session, but I have to say it was a lot of fun - and a great example of using web technology to provide real-time results (on of my favorite things.)"

The 100-year-old Virginia Magazine is no longer the only way to keep grads connected. UVA officials say they're striving for variety. The Virginia Magazine is on the web. 'Hoos Online, a site simliar to Facebook, recently made its debut. There are videos on YouTube, too."

Nonprofit accounting software vendor Blackbaud has struck a deal to acquire rival Kintera for $1.12 per share, or approximately $46 million.

Kintera, which specializes in on-demand software for nonprofits, had been facing financial pressures lately, including the threat of a delisting notice from Nasdaq (see Kintera Gets Bad News from Nasdaq)."
