Scottish charities keen to submit accounts with OSCR online - Civil Society - Governance - News - providing news and in-depth coverage of charities, voluntary organisations and not-for-profits: "Over half of Scottish charities intend to submit their accounts online with the Office of the Scottish Regulator when the service becomes available in the autumn, while a minority (18 per cent) have indicated they will not.

The Office of the Scottish Regulator (OSCR) surveyed over 1,000 Scottish charities and 1,000 members of the public to gauge views on the charity sector and its regulation."

Charity Tax Group in talks on free Gift Aid database - Third Sector: "It has approached commercial suppliers about initiative intended to cut red tape for the sector

The Charity Tax Group is talking to commercial suppliers about developing a free Gift Aid database that it says would reduce red tape for charities.

After the Budget in March, HM Revenue & Customs agreed to work with the voluntary sector to develop a database that would allow charities to upload details of donations rather than keeping paper records. It said this would support the online filing of Gift Aid claim"
