Elaine Fogel - Totally Uncorked on Marketing: can't tell you how frequently this has happened to me. And, what's my impression of the business or organization when I don't hear back? Poor customer service and a bad brand impression. Not exactly the most ideal "first contact," is it?

Well, it's time to clean this up and take advantage of these inquiries.

Although it’s been around for two years, Pinterest has finally hit the big time. Everyone’s talking about it. It’s fun and, frankly, a bit addictive.
Only About a Third of Tweets Are Worth Reading [STUDY]: The verdict? Respondents liked 36% of the tweets, disliked 25% and ranked their reaction to the remaining 39% as neutral. “A well-received tweet is not all that common,” Michael Bernstein, a doctoral student at MIT who worked on the project, wrote in a blog post. “A significant amount of content is considered not worth reading, for a variety of reasons.”

‘DOONESBURY’ PULLED BECAUSE OF CHARITY: Trudeau responds to Chicago Tribune’s decision not to run DonorsChoose cartoon - Comic Riffs - The Washington Post: Last Friday, the Chicago Tribune chose — for the second time since last September — not to run a “Doonesbury” strip. The reason this time, according to the Tribune: The comic “broke from its satirical mission” so it could ”deliver a direct fundraising appeal for a specific charity” — DonorsChoose.org. A note that ran in the paper explains: “The Tribune’s editorial practices do not allow individuals to promote their self-interests.”

Mobile & social media revenue rose at a compound annual growth rate of 28.7% from 2006-2011, and is expected to grow at an accelerating 30.8% annual rate in 2012.
