6 direct marketing methods to gain social media influencers : Page 1 of 2 : Target Marketing
6 direct marketing methods to gain social media influencers : Page 1 of 2 : Target Marketing: 'm a big fan of social media. I jumped on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest, etc., but it didn't occur to me until recently that social media could help direct marketers by leveraging influencers. In other words, I was a purist—I was communicating on social media for the pure joy of talking to people, meeting them and learning. I didn't think about it as leveraging anyone, but there is something to be said for targeting respected followers and encouraging them to recommend you.
The Secret Yardstick Driving Innovation At AOL, Beats, And Microsoft | Co.Design: business innovation design
The Secret Yardstick Driving Innovation At AOL, Beats, And Microsoft | Co.Design: business innovation design: The "15-foot test," as Wetherell refers to it, is the threshold for differentiation he holds his team to: Products must attract attention even yards away from the computer screen. It’s the idea that in order for a product to stand out in such a crowded market, he says, "it needs not only to function differently but also look noticeably different from afar." A Preliminary Theology of Social Networks
A Preliminary Theology of Social Networks: As people like Beth Kanter and Allison Fine made clear in their book, The Networked Nonprofit, networks are the new form of organizational structure in the 21st-century. (Actually, Jessica Lipnack and Jeffrey Stamps predicted in 1994 in The Age of the Network that networks would be the signature form of organizations in this century and I wrote about network organizations for the Jewish community in 2001 in Network Judaism). The bedrock of social networking sites, the platforms that support network organizations, is relationships.
