As a small nonprofit organization with a tight budget, Cleveland Bridge Builders couldn't afford to hire a professional to create the computerized thank-yous it envisioned sending donors last spring.
Executive Director Laura Steinbrink said she wanted the notes to be special, a reflection of the organization's gratitude. But with a staff of only three, Steinbrink's options were limited.
'We know how to make our computers work, but we don't know how to make our computers work for us,' she said."
