In an effort to grow philanthropy in Kansas City, the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation today unveiled a series of new tools designed to make its community of donors and DonorEdge® nonprofits, more powerful, effective, and accessible.
Beginning today, individuals — whether or not they have a fund at the Community Foundation — will be able to contribute directly to the nonprofits they support through credit card donations. This effort, part of a focus on 'public philanthropy,' should make it significantly easier for individuals to use the wealth of information available from DonorEdge® — detailed data on more than 600 area nonprofits — to gain the insight and intelligence they need to make the biggest impact with their charitable giving. Nonprofits also can link directly from their own Web sites to their DonorEdge® profile to enable interested donors to more easily research the organization and make donations online."
