We truly are living in the electronic age, with vast quantities of information available at our fingertips. As much as we sometimes feel inundated with all of the offerings, we have also come to expect this instant and broad access. The cultural sector is responding by finding new ways to stay relevant and engage audiences. It's no longer just about visiting a public library to borrow a book, or sitting in a concert hall to hear a symphony, or wandering through a museum to find out about a community's history. Cultural institutions are learning to broaden their understanding of who they are and what they do. "
