As many emergency workers know, not all Internet maps are created equal.
Web-based locator maps are good for approximate locations, but they don't always deliver absolute accuracy, mapping experts say.
That means police and other emergency response workers can waste valuable time looking for an exact address.
Austin's First American Flood Data Services says it has the answer to the problem — a huge database of millions of property parcels across the country."
